Amigle Releases its platform to Apple iPhone customers - PDF, - DOC
Cambridge, MA - December 17, 2008, AMIGLE INC, the creator of the world's first mobile contact information exchange network is launching their highly anticipated iPhone application to the market - a free download available in the Apple iTunes application store.
The inspiration of Amigle came from a frustrated colleague who lost a business card and was frantically looking for it one morning. "This lost contact information resulted in, a lost business opportunity of $250K," according to the founder and CEO of Amigle Frank Makrides. With Amigle, people will never have to manage contacts; all their information will be up-to-date through our self-managing database.
The idea that there could be a better way to seamlessly exchange personal and business information in person and then have it managed via a web-based platform peaked the interest of a seasoned engineer who has developed applications for the iPhone. Muthu Arumugam has committed to leading the Amigle technological breakthrough, as the Chief Technology Officer, to become the preeminent informational exchange platform on mobile and web devices.
"I have been sought by several start-ups but none are positioned nor have the vision of Amigle" said Arumugam. "And while developing our Amigle platform, it was a bit more complicated than we anticipated, but we're pleased to be able to offer it to individuals around the globe."
Frank Makrides added, "with Amigle there will never be static information. If somebody moves, I will have their updated address, if a business associate changes positions you will always stay connected, and your contact's information always stays automatically up to date through the power of Amigle."
Amigle is a free to join, and will allow an in-person exchange of information in peer to peer or in a group setting. Key features of Amigle include:
- Reliability: Built on the iPhone platform, Amigle enables people to securely exchange and manage information
- Speed: Amigle believes people should never have to write down a phone number or exchange a business card, it will be done quickly and effortless through a mobile devices, with one touch of a button
- User Experience: Amigle makes using the technology simple and more efficient by eliminating the need to enter contact information into a phone, and by automatically organizing individual contacts in a centralized repository for users to manipulate any way they please.
Amigle has developed and launched a beta version of its Website on November 17th, 2008. "We encourage feedback from our members, said Mr. Makrides. It is critical in order to make necessary changes to improve user experience". Amigle's future plans involve an application rollout for several mobile platforms such as Windows Mobile, Android, RIM and Symbian.
